According to the Rocky Mount Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 11:00 p.m. on June 1, 2026, to the 2600 block of North Wesleyan Boulevard following reports of a hit-and-run collision involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, first responders found McClain suffering from fatal injuries.
